Journal entry by Madelena Diaz

Well we thought yesterday was Adria’s last chemo but she just found out she will need to one more round May 13th.

Her oncologist had to split the 2 types of chemo into two sessions because of the crazy weeks of hives all over body requiring steroids. We are hoping this keeps the hives at bay.

Sooooo we will keep the happy dance going because she’s almost ✅DONE! She’s home resting now so text her some love 💕 She may not be able to respond right away but the love is encouraging!!! 🙏🥰

Thank you for your prayers for the family!

💕Thank you Jacqui for all the fun dancing each chemo round!

💕Thank you Edith for making her fabulous check off poster list!

💕Thank youTammy for managing her meal train and to everyone filling her meal train date with yummy meals!!! What a huge blessing and help!
💕Thank you to her Amazing Mom & loving Husband for keeping everything going!

💕 MOST of all THANK YOU for the relentless prayer warriors!

God is clearly surrounding her through all of you.

A note from Adria:

“Nana and Poppa took me to chemo while my Mom got the boys ready for school and took Aidan. My friend Madison was nice enough to take Ashton to school and keep him after school. She has done this every Thursday for weeks!!! My Mom picked Ashton up from workout then rushed him to Encinitas for his lacrosse game. All the while my friend Holly took Aidan to baseball and brought him home as she has been doing for weeks. My friend Sheila takes Ashton to his work out class on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week for the past few months. I’m so grateful for my tribe. Friday’s the Keeline’s take Ashton after school at 2 and keep him overnight to give Jason and I much needed rest.

My chemo treatment was not changed to a new one afterall. Dr. frakes kept me on taxotere and cytocan today, but split the taxotere dose. So I took half of the taxotere dose and will take the other half next Thursday. She is trying to stave off the hives. She prescribed extra steroids again this week and hydration and acupuncture tomorrow that my friend Jessica Cole is generously gifting me. These extra treatments can be very helpful, but expensive too. So grateful for my loving and generous friends. I literally could not fight this cancer so well without all of you!”
