Journal entry by Austin Hill

Hello Friends,

I want to keep this update brief and leave the emotion out of it, at least for this CaringBridge post.  On 5/20, I had my 6-month scans and on 5/25 I met with my oncologist and my surgeon to review the scan results.  The results of the scan were great, and I continue to stand out as an outlier in the statistics of my diagnosis.  I have now hit the 2 year “cancer free” milestone in this journey I’m on.  Physically, I am getting healthier and stronger every day.  I’m still working through the invisible wounds that need healing and I’m actively taking steps to overcome those challenges.

My faith, my treatment plan, my family, and my community have made this life possible for me.  If you’re reading this, I want you to know that there are no words to truly describe how thankful I am for you. I want to thank you all for your continued support and prayers not only for me but for my family as well.
