Austin ’s Story

Site created on September 19, 2020

On September 12, 2020 Austin was at a car meet up remembering Paul Walker. It was a legal car meet up that turned bad! Someone started doing spin-outs and my son was hit and ran over! He was rushed to Uc Davis with life threatening injuries! Brain trauma, stomach bleeding and broken pelvis! He has undergone 3 intense surgeries, they have fixed his stomach and taken out spleen, they have removed a part of his skull to give his brain room for the swelling, and they have repaired his pelvis! I want to have a page to share my sons day by day updates! We have faith in our Lord Jesus that he will be healed and God will be magnified!

Journal entry by heather dubinetskiy

For the last two days they have slowly been taking Austin off of the sedation medication! 1 point every 2 hours, a very slow process! Some people think it’s like the movies, watching someone wake up from coma, nothing like that! I’ve been told that he will start moving body little, today he blinked his eyes when i told him that he is so strong and he is my hero and told him how much i loved him! It seems as if the weekend will be one where we just watch, pray and wait! I’m a little nervous for this process, cause i don’t know what to expect! But i was crying when he was blinking his eye when i was talking to him and the nurse was telling him open your eyes Austin! “Be still and know that i am God” this is what we do! 🙏🏻
