Hi Brie,
The story you shared is very touching, I am sorry for your loss, and my deepest condolences to you and Auden's family. I am one of your coworkers in your workplace and for some personal reason, I wanna be anonymous. He was a lucky guy to have you by his side, and I am pretty sure his soul is in heaven, and one day you will meet each other again, in a better world without all the pain and suffering you had.
Keep smiling and be strong, I believe Auden would like to see you are happy and enjoy your life.

These pictures of Auden's smiling, happy face are exactly how I remember him as kids. He has always been that happy spirited person. How beautiful that he was supported and surrounded by love, that is truly what life is about. My heart goes out to the family and all who love Auden. May your grief become a teacher and connector to you and Auden's spirit. May he rest in peace knowing he is loved and lived the life he wanted to live.

We have never met, but I was diagnosed with a GBM in August of 2020 and my wife, Lisa, and I have been doing everything we can to fight this thing while making lasting memories. This website has been a form of thereapy for both of us. We have often said, "unless you are in our shoes, you can't truely understand." While we have been blessed on our journey, we truely understand and our hearts ache for/with you!! If there is anything we can do, please feel free to reach out!!
May God bless you and keep you close,

Mark Spiess

Your moving account beautifully conveys the profound and complex emotions surrounding the loss of such a special person. I read you careening from moments of joy to desperation to serenity and I feel that too. Thank you for your honesty and please accept my deepest wish for your peace and serenity. I am grateful to have known him, and in awe of his strength. I am profoundly saddened at his passing and the pain that brings you and all his loved ones. I will feel this grief and eventually move through it, but most importantly I will hold on fiercely to the good that Auden brought into our lives.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful look into Auden’s final days. I am completely heartbroken but it brings comfort to know he was so well cared for and surrounded by so much love.

Auden was a great friend to me, we got to know each other through my work at the barber shop where he was my client. I will very much miss that incredible salt and pepper hair of his and how his great sense of humor always brightened my day.

If there is anything I can do to help you through this time please don’t hesitate to reach out. Sending lots of love to you and your families
