Ati’s Story

Site created on March 22, 2018

Welcome to Ati's Caring Bridge site. Thank you for stopping by to check up on him. We have set up this site for friends and family to get updates on Ati's recovery. This is  not intended for donations.  There is not a donation site.

On Saturday March 10th, Ati went over to a neighbor’s house to help jump start a car. During that process, Ati was pinned between the two cars when the neighbor put their car in reverse resulting in traumatic injuries to both of Ati’s legs. He was taken by ambulance to the Buffalo trauma care hospital, ECMC, where he underwent emergency surgery. Due to the severity of injuries to his right knee, he require an external fixation device to stabilize the knee.   His left knee suffered a fibular fracture and a compromised ACL requiring a straight-leg brace. After 13 days in the hospital,  he returned home on Friday March 23rd where he will continue his recovery.
