Ashleigh’s Story

Ashleigh is the daughter of Matt and Carrie Filer. Ashleigh Filer was married to Chad Vander Meulen in 2020 and they currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona. 

Ashleigh was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  The cancer is currently the size of a lime on her tongue and is in her lymph nodes.

We are using CaringBridge to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Please continue to pray for Ashleigh, as she has a long journey ahead. Thank you!

March 2, 2021 Update

Journal entry by Friends of the Filer Family —

Ashleigh has been admitted to the hospital, she is unable to keep food down, is down 30 pounds and getting worse. Please pray that they allow one of us to stay with Ashleigh in the hospital.
