Asher’s Story

Site created on February 9, 2020

Asher Miller is 5 yrs old, he is a very energetic little boy, who loves his 5 older sisters and definitely his parents. A routine hospital visit for a fever, a harden stomach that was thought to be Constipation, indeed turned for the worse very quickly. Doctor’s immediately admitted Asher to the hospital and began running tests. His parents were left in limbo for a moment not really understanding  why the doctors were moving so fast and not talking much. Asher was airlifted to St. Jude Memphis Children’s research hospital. Where the diagnosis of T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia was confirmed.  It has been told by doctors this is a very aggressive form but is treatable.

Journal entry by Edgar&Jennifer Miller

Good news from the doc. We are thinking around 4 more weeks here then we can go home. He’s doing very well and continues to get better at meds and this whole situation.

On another note:
It was highly recommended that the carpets in our home be replaced with laminate or wood to help keep the germ levels down with easier maintenance. This will be expensive for us to do with having such a big family and now me not working and Edgar working when he can..

We are looking for anyone that has contacts in the flooring business with the bloomington normal or surrounding areas that are willing to see if any places are willing to donate materials.

Thank you everyone for the continued support and love..
