Bud, what a guy! Really. How can one person accomplish so much and do so much for mankind in the space of one lifetime? I SO valued his friendship and wish it could have been longer.
Bud had a way of making you feel valued. Well done, my dear friend.

I've been thinking of our pal Bud these last few days, remembering that his birthday was in late October although I didn't remember the exact date. I miss him. Maybe I'll re-watch all of the West Wing episodes this winter and think of how I enjoyed times watching that show with him. Take care- all of you Dixen kids and family!

I have been thinking of your dad all day, on what would have been his 90th Birthday. My husband would have been 80 today. It is a day of good memories of two great guys in my life. We used to share the same pew on Sunday mornings. We sounded like the Bickerson’s when we greeted one another but always ended with a hug and kiss for “the old man” and “the old broad”. You had a great dad. I saved all his “epistles” and love to read them again and laugh and sometimes groan. LOL. Never made a pecan pie until he couldn’t make his own so made two and delivered them. The smile on his face was a gift to be remembered. Thanks for the memories, Bud. You left a great family behind to carry on your legacy. The “Old Broad”.❤️😀
