Art's rehab team met yesterday and set next Tuesday, October 20th as his likely discharge date - one month to the day from when his heart stopped beating. It's astonishing. I'm going to Family Education tomorrow and Sara will go on Friday to learn how to be of help when he comes home. He will also be going to Outpatient Physical Therapy and Cardiac Rehab once he returns.
We need to continue to take things one day at a time but that Art is returning with all of his wits about him defies all odds and we are so grateful to have him back. This experience has certainly upended our lives. The kind words of support and encouragement, prayers and loving energy of family and friends have helped to sustain us and get us all to this point. A heartfelt thanks to all of you.
