Journal entry by Linda Bucher —
April 20th is go home day, two years in a row. Let’s all pray we are not leaving the hospital on April 20th next year. 🙂
Art came home with a nerve block catheter in his left thigh. The medicine is almost gone and will most likely be done sometime tomorrow. He’s pretty sick of carrying around his “satchel” with the bulb of medicine in it.
The bone graft came from the top, the head, of his right femur which is why his hip hurts so bad. The nerve block is on the other leg. He can bend his knee much better now and is able to walk more normally. He’s still limping somewhat because of the sore hip. The doctors said it will be several weeks until the pain isn’t so intense but knowing Art, it will be less than 2.
He’s taking it easy this weekend and plans to be back at work on Monday. Life continues ….
Seek God in the small things and you will see him in the big things.
❤️Linda
