Journal entry by Arin Lancaster —
It's been a long week. Tim traveled to Minnesota for work and the kids and I held down the fort. It ended up being one of those weeks with lots of routine appointments and extra running around. I am SO thankful for friends and family that helped with most of the evening transportation. I typically get tired late in the day, so I'm extremely grateful for the assistance.
The basement is getting closer and closer. Drywall went up over the weekend and they should wrap up the finishing stage of the drywall tonight. Paint and priming should start tomorrow and trim, cabinets, tile and fixtures will be the projects of next week. If we continue on schedule, we still should be wrapped up by Spring Break. Can't wait!!
Ivey participated in her first, and her school's first, Swing Choir Competition this past weekend and they did great! Its fun to see her grow in her abilities and interests!
Makenzie recently wrapped up her Basketball Cheer season. This too was a "first" experience for her and she had fun and learned a lot. We look forward to seeing her in her school's production of Annie Jr. in a couple of weeks. Ballet/dance is still her first love and she has been accepted into two different Ballet Summer Intensive Programs. As she looks forward to her senior year, we are praying about where God might be taking her, and how she can best prepare herself for what will come after HS.
Hayden is wrapping up is Senior year nicely. He will be 18 in just over a week, which seems impossible. He applied to Ball State and hopes to apply to at least one more school. He is currently planning to study Graphic Design, but is also very interested topics like film, animation and sound production.
As far as my health, insurance denied coverage of a Sinus Scan, so I am currently looking for an ENT that could help us look into these issues. Please pray for peace as we determine when and what avenue to take next. I get overwhelmed at starting over in this continued search for a diagnosis, and have definitely been dragging my feet.
Thanks for your thoughts and encouragement.- Arin and Family
