Ariel’s Story

Site created on September 17, 2020

Ariel and Joe are expecting identical twin girls. One of the babies has TAPVR, a rare heart condition that requires surgery at birth. Ariel’s being transported to UCSF in San Francisco and would like an easy place to update everyone on their progress. Prayers always appreciated!

Journal entry by Ariel Poulton

Time has flown by since we have been home! The girls are 8 weeks old today. Grace had her first cardiology follow up since discharge. Her repair looks so good they don’t need to see her for 6 months! My jaw nearly hit the floor when I heard that. After all we have been through it was so wonderful to hear how stable her heart is. We are working diligently on her feeding, she is making slow and steady progress. Madison is doing well and growing so fast. She has quite the strong personality already. Thank you all for following along, updates will be less frequent as we settle into our new normal. We have enjoyed sharing our journey and for now, no news is good news ❤️
