02/13/2022: Here we are again heading to San Francisco for Grace to have another open heart surgery. This time on her inferior vena cava or IVC. Stay tuned for updates from me and Joe.

09/17/2020: Ariel and Joe are expecting identical twin girls. One of the babies has TAPVR, a rare heart condition that requires surgery at birth. Ariel’s being transported to UCSF in San Francisco and would like an easy place to update everyone on their progress. Prayers always appreciated!

Journal entry by Ariel Poulton

Good morning! Grace had her first at home checkup with cardiology and it’s all good news. Her echo looks great, blood is flowing where it should be. She will probably be on aspirin indefinitely to help with her clotting risks. She was cleared to ease back into activity with a full return to regular activity in 4 weeks. We will check her liver in a month or two to make sure it has fully healed now that blood isn’t backing up into it. And sometime down the road we will have her see hematology to investigate the clotting risk factors. Thank you all for following along, for the prayers and good thoughts, the meals and support. It has helped us through such a tough time. If you want to continue to follow along with our family and Grace come find me on instagram @ariel_poulton
