Hello Everyone...

Today I'm reaching out to update you on our beloved Archie. Many of you know, recently he had open heart surgery and was at home recuperating. Unfortunately, a week ago he suffered a stroke and he was hospitalized. On Friday, we made the difficult decision to start hospice. 

As you can imagine, it is a heartbreaking time, and you know Archie is a fighting spirit. I'm happy to report that he is resting comfortably, under the watchful eyes of professionals and I'm keeping vigil. With the generosity of our friend Sue, we are spending hospice on her property and Archie seems settled and much happier than when in the hospital. 

Your outreach, calls, texts, and emails are so deeply appreciated right now and I hope you'll forgive me for being unable to return to each of you. It's overwhelming and I am managing so many details for Archie's care. So I thought it now best to use this Caring Bridge site as the main repository for the Archie updates and correspondence. Please post any messages you'd like to convey to Archie as your encouragement keeps our hope alive for Archie to remain with us a little longer.
