MIRACLE! When I asked Dr. Zhao what words I could use when I stood up and told my church what we had just found out first he said 'You can tell them that your doctors could not find any cancer' and then later on he said that yes I could use the word miracle! :)

As I hope I told you in my last posting, but maybe I didn't, when I saw my Longview doctor last week he decided he wanted to do a PET scan before I went down to continue treatment in Portland at OHSU.  I was fine with that since we had not done any since we began treatment. Little did I know what the outcome would be!

I went in last Thursday for the scan.  I received the reading from the scan in my patient email.  As far as I could tell it was saying...no evidence, no evidence, no evidence, etc.  To me that sounded pretty darn good! However, there were many BIG words in there and I wasn't exactly sure what they all meant.  So I decided to wait until today--Monday--when I had a scheduled appointment to see Dr. Zhao to see what his response was to all of this.

Cameron and I went today at 3:00pm.  A bit anxious of course.  What if I had read the whole thing wrong?  What if I hadn't?  How do you react to something like this?  Doctor Zhao showed us the scan and pointed out there wasn't any yellow spots showing up.  He then showed us the scan before treatment where there were yellow spot all over my belly area.  Yellow = cancer activity.

I am a member of a facebook group for high-grade (fast growing) neuroendrocin cancer.  I have learned a lot from the people in that group.  I posted and asked if anyone had heard of anyone becoming cancer free.  I got a response back from someone that said 'you are not cancer free.  This cancer does not go away.  You are NED (no evidence of disease).  I responded back with...I good with NED! :) either way, this is not something that happens with neuroendrocin cancers.  That is unless God decides that there were so many prayer warriors on this case that He decided to make it happen! :)

So, prayer warriors, your time was not in vain!  I can not thank you enough EVER for all your prayers for me and my family.  I know that ALL the glory goes to God for this but I also would like to reserve a tiny bit for all of you! You are all glorious!

I will be going in monthly for blood work here in Longview just to keep an eye on things.  I am happy about that.  The people at the cancer center in Longview are amazing!  So positive.  So kind. And I will still be going down to OHSU this Thursday for a CT scan and a doctor appointment that have already been scheduled.  Never hurts to get a different scan to see what it shows and hear some different advice from a second doctor.

Prayers and PRAISE would be greatfully accepted still. Life is interesting and you never know whats around each turn.  I will keep you all posted about what I hear on Thursday.

In the mean time PRAISE BE TO GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND OUR HELPER HOLY SPPIRIT!
