Journal entry by Tracey Wealing —
April had the last fill of her expanders last Monday and her reconstructive surgery is scheduled for 12/17. This allows April to recover and rest over the holiday break and return in the new year......with new tatas! She has been very concerned about missing work and impacting the students so the timing could not be better. This will also allow her to continue to have the past few months in the past....where they belong, to never surface again!
She is so appreciative of everyone, words will never express that gratitude. April's best friend from high school is sharing the next few days with her and then she returns to work at the end of the week. She's been amazing on a very unfortunate journey. But she is proof that a positive attitude can get you through almost anything that is put in your way. Congratulations, April, on becoming a breast cancer survivor! Love you, my friend.
