Journal entry by Ann Forseth

Where do I start, it’s been awhile since I posted. I just got out of the hospital yesterday after being admitted March 9. I had a treatment done March 4 and wasn’t feeling well that whole week. I went and had fluids on Friday March 8 thinking I would feel better. But that night I couldn’t keep anything down. I knew I didn’t have the flu, woke up Saturday morning still very sick. I Went back to have more fluids at the hospital March 9, I told the doctor what was going on and right away I was admitted. Come to find out I have a small bowel obstruction. Doctors put an NG tube in to drain my stomach. (Worst thing I ever went through) I had the NG tube in for 4 days, the doctors decided to put a GI tube in my stomach instead. Trying to rest the bowels. I’m also on a liquid diet and I’m back on TPN to get my weight and nutrition back up. I’m not sure if I’m going to have surgery on my small intestines or not. Two surgeons have turned me down already I’m going to talk to another surgeon Friday. I’m praying I get some good news.
