Many in our school community have fond memories of Shekkie, second grade teacher Anne Reynolds' faithful companion since 2008. Shekkie was raised here at Simmons as a canine companion and throughout his eleven years, he regularly visited Anne's classroom and provided love and support to many students. We are remembering his life and legacy with a beautiful tree in the back of the school, where students can visit to remember him and enjoy the outdoors. We will be decorating the base of Shekkie's tree with rocks painted with kind words and memories. Ms. Reynolds will have rocks and paint available for students to create the rocks.

If you would like make a donation to offset the cost of Shekkie's tree, checks can be made payable to the Simmons Home and School Association. Thank you for remembering Shekkie by showing kindness to others.
