Ryan, my condolences go out to you and the kiddos. This is so beautifully written and Anne was a beautiful person inside and out. The moments I did get to talk to her she always had a grace about her that just shined through. She hid her illness so well and did not let anything stop her from coming to watch Matty play. If there is anything you guys need please feel free to reach out. Sending prayers and comfort to you all.

What beautiful words of solace as we read, with tears in our eyes, your latest entry regarding Anne's passing. Your devotion to and comfort for Anne provided her with so much love in her final days at home. Your sharing her story with us and many others who truly cared for such a beautiful woman was poignant and we appreciate so very much your taking the time to keep all posted in her last days. May wonderful memories help to sustain you and the children during this most difficult time of your lives.

Our sincerest condolences,

Oh, Ryan. I’m so sorry. Though you gently but articulately prepared us for this day, it still knocked the wind out of me to read the news this morning. Today I made a point to talk about Anne and her many accomplishments and admirable qualities with the people around me. Our family is here for you, the kids and TT.

Ryan - Thank you for keeping us connected to Anne and her journey these past couple of months. I’m grateful for your openness and your ability to articulate such tender moments with us with such grace despite how difficult it must have been cascading these messages to us.

While I’m gutted to awake this morning with the news, your words about her being ready and her concern for others really landed with me.

Anne really is/was a formidable woman. She approached any role or task with a real focus, gusto and whole-heartedness, and excelled whatever she set those twinkling blue eyes on. Whether it was the two of you building the mountain house, her garden, her artwork, navigating the past 7 years, her going to Washington to lobby with/for the Lung Association, her fundraising and your trip to the college bowl to being a kick-ass mother, daughter, sister and friend. While I’m absolutely devastated with her passing, I grin thinking of her humour and silliness, her love for a good pun, her fabulous smile, her generosity of spirit, her candidness and grounded perspective, her courage, and her clear communication and boundaries. She had a profound influence with each of us. I feel so fortunate to be one of the many who adored her. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband to her and a phenomenal dad to Katie and Matty.

All my love to the three of you.
- Dawn
