hey all! my name is Anna and i have RSD! and a few other thing but lets begin with the main thing.
i got the RSD 15 yr ago, R.S.D stand for reflex sympathetic dystrophy. it begin in my left ankle and foot that was 15 yr ago tho. now it is in my left leg from the tips of the toes to my hip in my right leg for my hit of my toes to my knee. and also my left arm from my tips of my frighers to my shoulder. you may ask what is RSD? will rsd is pain! and the exact cause of reflex sympathetic dysrophy isn't well understood but it involve the nerves. the way you get RSD. is usually occurs after an injury or surgery. it never goes away. it can go into remimmions. but that just for the lucky ones. you have pain all the time. i have been in and out of the wheelchair for the past 15 yrs. but for the past 3 and helf yr i have been in the wheelchir full time. and also have not been able to walk at all in the past 3 yrs. up to this summer. (get back to that later!) but i also been using candes, crusts walkers and anything else you can thing of. now to the past three and helf yr. back in the early spring of 2015. i had a unuser pain in my ankle when i walk that was not the rsd pain. so i what to the foot Dr and i have a tided that need to be fix. tried some thing before we try surgery will we try everything but nothing work. so the winter of 2016 i had surgery all what well but then after i got the cast off we saw that due to the RSD my foot what club and drop. so we tried one thing that did not work. so Aug. of that yr (2016) i had more surgery to try to fix it but did not work. they put the cage on my leg. it was this surgery that got the rsd to go up my left leg to my hip. got that off and saw that did not work. (i needed surgery to get that off to.) so now i up to three surgery in under one yr. now i been in and out of casts also with in this yr to. so now we try casting again. and it did not work so we do one more surgery, my first surgery was on Jan 28th 2015, a yr later on that day. Jan 28th 2016 i had my 4th surgery. this time they fusion my ankle together. this time it work. and when i mean it worked i mean my ankle and foot is no long drop or club! but my toes are still cruel up so that had to be fix yet. and we did not what to go right into surgery yet. so we try many of things but none of them work so the fall of 2016 we did surgery but that to did not work. and to this day my toes are still cruel up and we still working are trying to un do them. they may never go undone. so now we are up to five surgery in a yr and helf. now for a while we did not need to do any surgery or anything so that is good but then the fall of 2017 i was having pains in my right ankle and foot and i knew right away what it was. so my next app at the foot Dr i let him know he look at it and sure it was the RSD in the foot. and ankle. and with in a month that foot what club and drop so Dem 28th 2017 i had surgery to get the cage on that foot. it did not work. got that off in fed of this yr. have been in pt stine then and now in Oct i have surgery to get it fusion. there is a lot more to my story but this is all the time i have for now. i will post the rest of it Sunday or Monday. thank for read.
