Anna’s Story

Site created on October 12, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  "It's Time".

As many of you know, Anna was born with a heart defect called  "Tetralogy of Fallot.".  She had heart surgery when she was 6  days old, and then suffered a heart attack after that surgery and then had surgery again within a few days of that.  Then when she was a toddler, she had another open heart surgery to replace a valve (which was replaced with a pigs valve).  She has followed up with her Heart Team every year to see how things were going.  She has a wonderful Team at The University of Minnesota Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.   She has also had some hand surgery's along the way;  that go along with her heart defect.  Well this follow up, along with some other tests -  in September/October revealed that "It's Time" for another heart surgery.  She will have a couple of procedures prior to the actual open heart surgery.

November 5th Anna will have a Pulmonary Valve Replacement  ( the valve that controls blood flow from the right ventricle to the main pulmonary artery).  My niece,  Anna (whom is like a daughter to me) is surrounded by Love and support.  Any prayers are appreciated. I am amazed how STRONG this little girl is, and she has a strong team behind her.  I guess I can't call her a little girl anymore as she is growing into a beautiful young lady! I will keep you informed with updates as to alleviate some of the texts, phone calls for Major and Tammy so they can focus on Anna.

Thanks, Krissy (Anna's Aunt/ Tammy's Sister)
