Journal entry by Gil Kulick

This is my last entry in this journal.  In less than four weeks after a bilateral knee-replacement surgery, Anita is nearly back to normal. Last evening she (and Gil) walked seven city blocks, with no more support than a cane, to attend a memorial service at Ansche Chesed synagogue for the victims of the Pittsburgh massacre.  And he cane will very shortly be gone.

Her recovery seems to be little short of miraculous, but in fact it's the result of hard work and relentless determination, which is the way Anita meets all the challenges in her life.  I'm sure her recovery is attributable in part to the nurturing attention of her many friends, who brought food, sent flowers, called, and showed up in person.  They were too numerous to thank by name, but you know who you are.  Please accept our gratitude for your acts of chesed (lovingkindness).

Now she's back to saving the world.
