Journal entry by Angie Tompkins —
Hi all, I have an update for you. First, I want to thank you all for your prayers and wonderful loving support. You bless us more than you know and we are truly grateful.
I had a PET scan and received the results today. It’s a mixed bag of good and bad news. The good news is that there was a fairly good size amount of cancer in my left hip and it has gotten smaller from the Keytruda (immunotherapy) treatment that I’m on. Sooo great! The bad news is that there is still active cancer in the left hip and a new metastasis (active cancer) in the right hip. This, I expected as the pain has gotten worse in my right hip. Dr. Khan hopes this new metastasis can be radiated and knocked down. I see my radiation oncologist on Monday to start the radiation process once again. There are some unpleasant side effects to the Keytruda, but they’re being addressed with additional meds.
Thanks again for your love and prayers as we continue on this journey. Our God is faithful and he supplies our every need. His amazing grace is more than sufficient to cover all.
Much love to you all always,
Angie and Chip
