Journal entry by Angie Lopez —
I knew that things were going to well. As of last week I am told I have lesions in both eyes. Which the retina specialist says means infections. They are unsure what is causing them. I have to make bi weekly trips to the eye center at UIHC now as well as my regular bi weekly appointments to the cancer center. I have had to increase my meds which means greater side effects. I am less able to concentrate, my muscles and joints are super achey.
We were talking about coming back to work on November 1 until this crap came up. I-am really sorry I have not updated here more. Anxiety and depression have been trying so very hard to get their claws into me and they do succeed some days.
I am still being positive and fighting the negatives with all I have. Even though there have been other things in my life happening that I have no control over and can only hope and pray about.
I only have one daughter at home now, Molly went off to ISU, and I have to tell you I miss her more than you could imagine. I love all of my kiddos, but Molly really helped me in every way. I know she is going to do great things just like the rest of them, but her genuineness and kindness are so sorely missed.
Thanks for all the cards, the thoughts, the prayers and the kindness.
