Journal entry by Kristy Chambers

I am so incredibly happy to say that Mom has been doing so good over the past couple of days.  She had a couple of bad days after the shunt was put in but on Tuesday afternoon, I believe that God placed his hand on her and she started feeling better.
I LOVE HAVING MY MOM BACK! 🥰

Today, we went to NW GA Oncology and had a consult at the STAT clinic.  The doctors there reviewed all of her records and films.  They agree with the recommendations from Emory so mom will now transfer to their care instead of Emory.  Unfortunately, Emory is just to far away.  With that being said, mom will be fitted tomorrow for her radiation mask and she will most likely start radiation on Monday.  She will go everyday of the week for two weeks.  Then, in 3 weeks, she will see the medical oncologist that will let us know what the best type of chemo/immunotherapy will be for her specific cancer.  Emory had already drawn blood to test mutations and other things so we are just awaiting those results.  Mom is now willing to try all treatment options.  😊

Please continue to pray for her and her doctors.  Also for our family.  Mom is our rock, our go to, the one that holds the family together.  We are nowhere near ready to let her go.

Much love to all of you! 💗
