Today-7/13/19 marks one year for the day Angel and I were sitting in a doctors office trying to grasp the diagnosis of Osteosarcoma.  How to tell our sweet daughter, how to tell our family and friends.  That day was scary and emotional.  Yes we had fear, we had doubts, we were shaken to our core.  That also marks the day that i saw my Wife of nearly 20 years RISE UP in her Faith!  She grabbed my hand and brought me UP with her!  Loosing my sweet Angel has been life changing.  In the 10 month battle, she gave me the strength, the faith, the determination and the hope to RISE UP for myself and our family!  This last year was filled with dark days, doubts, fears, battles and many many tears! Those days were also filled with Faith, Prayer, Love, Life, lessons, and BLESSINGS!  We praise God for each day!   WELL DONE my sweet Angel!  WELL DONE!
I challenge each of you to share this post and put “RISE UP” as your status!  Rise above whatever it is you are facing, divorce, illness, death, fear, abuse, depression, anxiety, whatever you face, RISE UP!

Today marks 2 weeks since Angel entered the gates of Heaven. Anslee, myself and our entire family are thankful for every single act of love and kindness expressed by all of you. Things have slowed down and people have gone about their lives. We have a few that check in often just to see how we are doing or if we need anything. We are grateful for you! Anslee and I are taking each day one step at a time. There is a huge part of our lives changed forever and for me there is an “emptiness” that is unexplainable. Anslee is amazingly positive and strong! She gets that from her sweet momma and I am certain that Angel is very proud of her! Anslee reminds me daily to seek positive and enjoy “today” along with being kind and grateful. I once said that God did not send me here equipped to loose my wife. God sent me here equipped to believe and have faith. That faith carries me and my family through each day! We find peace knowing that Angel is no longer battling cancer and that she is made whole and perfect by the grace of God and his Glory!
We miss Angel terribly and the loss is felt every min of every day but we want you all to know that we are “ok”. We are blessed and thankful for our own health, faith and the answered prayers that provide peace, strength and courage!
Love you all,
-Mike and Anslee

⭐️All Friends, Family and Supporters!
🙏🏻Please Pray for Angel and our family!
💛Please share this post!🎗
We have been transparent through Angels entire cancer journey.  We choose to be open and honest so that we can make an impact on as many lives as possible!  I pray that some way, some how, you have all been touched through what Angel has overcome and the fearless faithful attitude she has shown.

Today was a day that we truly believed we would not be facing any time soon.  We have put every ounce of our being into our faith and petitioned for God to heal and make Angels body whole.  Although we will not give up hope or belief in the miraculous power of our God, the sarcoma in Angels body continues to progress.  Angel, Anslee, myself and our immediate family along with our medical team from MD Anderson have decided that the services offered by hospice would be a benefit to Angel at this time.  No one knows what God’s will is in our lives.  We do know that we serve a loving and gracious God who will provide exactly what we need exactly when we need it.  We stand firm in our faith and we look to Gods word for comfort and strength!  Please pray for our family to be filled with God given peace, strength and courage.  We love and adore you all!

🔴UPDATE🔴 🙏🏻PRAYERS NEEDED🙏🏻 ➡️Please Share! Hi everyone! Angel started her new chemo on Wednesday March 13th. That evening while getting her ready for a shower we noticed a rash that ended up being Shingles. This past Wednesday she was supposed to get another round of chemo with two different types (Gemzar and Taxotere) Because of her counts she was only able to get the lessor of the two which is Gemzar. They lowered her dose to 75%. On Thursday she was finally able to get a neulasta shot to boost her levels back up for a few days. Last night she ran a low grade fever and this morning her fever was 104(+). We were sent to Glenwood ER where we had great care and was admitted. They have run many tests and cultures. Initially pneumonia was the biggest concern. Now they believe that it may just be a small case of colitis. Regardless, it’s bacterial and will be treated with the same protocol and meds. This is not how we prayed this first round of chemo would go. We know that Angel is very chemo sensitive. Her levels drop quickly because she has had some of the strongest chemo known to mankind..... and a lot of it! This is a bump in the road. We choose to continue seeing the good in our journey and walking by faith and trust in our lord Jesus! We are grateful that we have good care here in WM. We are grateful that Anslee was able to be home this weekend to spend time with us. We are grateful for each of you that pray for us and stand in the gap! We are most grateful that Jesus has already overcome the world and therefore we can overcome these small battles! Please pray for a quick recovery, pray the new chemo is destroying the sarcoma cells in Angels body. Pray for peace, strength, joy and healing! We love you all! 💫💫FAITH over fear💫💫 💫💫Angels Army 💫💫

Good morning from sunny Houston Tx.  Angel 😇 and I are here at MD Anderson for two full days of scans, tests and appointments.  We both have an amazing peace about this visit.  God has promised us his forgiving and healing grace.  We stand firm in our faith and belief of his healing power.  Today we ask you to join us in claiming completely clear scans and perfectly normal kidney function.  Please pray for peace, happiness, healing, and God’s will to be unveiled through our amazing testimony.  We give God the glory for both where we have been and where we are going.  We have been through dark days and bright days.  Today and tomorrow will be the brightest!  We are whole heartedly excited about putting our lives back together and figuring out our divine purpose for helping others.
We love you ALL!

UPDATE:  LONG POST..
Please share and Please PRAY!

Angel has been conquering several “fears” with her post surgery PT.  It’s been very emotional but she’s been doing an amazing job and making great progress.  We will be transitioning back to WM very soon.
We are blessed and excited to be coming home.
🙏🏻🙏🏻Angels Kidney function has worsened in spite of getting iv infusions 5 days a week.  We need specific prayer that Angels kidneys improve quickly!
🙏🏻🙏🏻We need prayer that every single cancer cell is dead and removed from her body 100% by the blood of Jesus!
We return to Houston the first week of March for post surgery scans and follow ups for kidneys.
Angel will continue her IV therapy and her PT/Rehab in WM.  We claim and hold onto the sight of Angels kidneys being healed and scans completely Normal and clear!

Please pray specifically and share Angels name with anyone who prays, any prayer group, Church, small group, grocery cashier... anyone!  We believe in the power of prayer and the power of GOD!  We walk faithfully down this path claiming “FAITH/fear” each and every day!
Angel and our entire family have come so far but still have more hurdles to clear!  We are grateful for each of you filling the gap for us!
We love you all!

Tomorrow morning we start at 6:00 am.  Angel has some testing first thing in the morning.  We meet with our Sarcoma team at 8:00 am then go back to meet our Surgeon at 2:00.  Tomorrow we should get the results of the tumor pathology and a good picture of what further treatments are needed.  We know we have more time here in Houston so that Angel can be healed!  Please Pray for a good pathology report and as few treatments as necessary to finish up this journey!  Please pray for Angels pain to subside and PT to kick in so we can progress!  Please pray for normal kidney function levels.  Above all please pray that all of the cancer cells are dead and gone! We continue to walk by faith and trust in GOD to lead us and our medical team here in Houston.  God has built an amazing testimony for our family and we can’t wait to share it and give God all the glory!
We love and miss you all!  We are grateful for each and every prayer!

UPDATE:
PLEASE SHARE - Long post.
It’s been two weeks since Angel’s surgery.  She spent 8 days in the hospital.  Angel’s tumor was removed.  She received an internal prosthesis known as a “Mega Prosthesis”, it includes a total knee, partial tibia and most of her femur.  Also known as limb salvage surgery (LSS).  She also received an allograft patella and tendons.  Her leg is locked with no weight bearing and no range of motion (for now).   The pain has been hard to control but gets a little better each day.  For now, we are focusing on her walking a min of 150 ft each day on a walker.  Some days are easier than others but she averages 300-400+ per day.  We follow up with her surgeon and our primary oncologist next Thursday the 24th.  During these appointments we will learn the official pathology and necrosis of the tumor that was removed.  We will learn more about what PT and rehab will look like over the next weeks and months.  We will also learn what the plan for post op Chemo will be.  We ask that you join us in prayer that we receive good pathology and necrosis results.  Please pray for Angels Kidney function to improve and please pray for a short and mild chemo plan.  There are too many variables for us to predict.  We place our faith and trust in our Lord, Jesus.  Through this storm we continue to praise God and give him the glory for each victory.  There have been unexpected loops and turns on this journey and through our faith, we have been literally carried through these days.  We continue to be humbled and amazed at the kindness and prayer we have received from our family, friends and community!  We love each and every one of you!  Please continue to speak Angels name to any and everyone you know that prays.  Add her name to any and every prayer list, prayer group, prayer chain and any and every praying Church!  We believe in the POWER of PRAYER! I am adding the Go Fund Me page for anyone that would like to make a donation to help with our next phase of this journey.  We are soooo grateful to those that have donated and grateful for every single prayer received!
With Love,
