Journal entry by Angelia Ollerman —
I have not updated in about 2 months. It was found after my last PET scan that the cancer had mutated around my meds and was now in my liver. Knowing that the first two places breast cancer likes to invade are the liver and the brain we decided it would be good to scan the brain. Unfortunately, the cancer has gone to my brain. My oncologist changed my oral chemo to a stronger one, it has taken my body almost a month to adjust with the help of anti nausea medication. Now that my body is used to the new medicine I will start whole brain radiation tomorrow. It will only be 10 treatments but with the whole brain being treated comes some not so fun side effects. My memory can be jumbled for 6 months or longer. They will be giving me a medication used to help with Alzheimer's patients which may help with my memory. Andy and I are both worried about the unknowns but we will deal with them as they come. 😁
