Here is some happy news for Mama P from the Bosie McElveen family: Mary Talbert and her husband have a son who is 3 months old. His personality is growing just as quickly as he is and we get to see him often, which makes Bosie and me very happy. Maggie just bought her first house and we are very proud of her. It is a precious little house in the woods and she is happy, happy, happy to be a homeowner! We pray for you continued good progress and healing. Peace, strength and courage to all of you! Lee

Oh Davis, she is prayed for every single day! I hear the weariness, fear and love in every word you write. I pray for both of you. My battle is different but I understand the feelings of guilt that you’re letting your family and friends down. I suppose for me, I’ll always carry that burden. I know the low wbc counts that delay treatment and yet the treatments that drain you of all energy and some day you feel you simply cannot move because it takes too much energy. Your beautiful wife is one of the toughest, strongest and determined women I’ve ever met. She lives by the motto, “The show must go on!” Remind her today that our God sees her and hears her and He is holding her through these hard, hard days. When I first became ill and started chemo I told my sister if I could just close my eyes and picture Jesus’s face—-like the pictures they used when I was a child in Sunday School—there was something about seeing His face that centered me and reminded me that He was right there, that very moment and He would never leave. Remind my friend to keep her eyes on Jesus, for He has His arms around you both! Love to Angela and you!

Angela, I pray for you daily. May the Lord comfort you, wrapping his loving arms around you as you continue to be strong while moving forward. I know it’s not easy! Proud of you! PS. You’ve not missed much on the Gamecocks gridiron. 😢

Angela, we continue to keep you in thought and prayers. When your recovery path seems too arduous, I hope you will remember the chorus of children’s voices that floated out of your classrooms. I always think of the joy that you brought to kids at Forest Lake and hope their voices resonate now to continue to keep you going. Carolyn, Jay, Catherine Ann and Henry
