My name is Emily Schneider, I am creating this Caring Bridge for my lifelong best friend, Angela Crimmins. Angela is a wonderful and devoted mother, wife, sister, friend, daughter and CNA who makes the world a better place every single day. On Monday, April 17th, she woke up with horrible right flank pain. The next day, the pain continued, so she went to get checked out. They discovered a 10 cm mass in her colon, they determined it was cancer. The next night, she went back in due to severe pain and they discovered 8 additional tumors in her liver. She has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer and will be starting treatment soon.
She is getting her port place on May 2nd, and her first round of chemo is on May 9th. She is experiencing a significant amount of pain and discomfort. She is ready to fight with all her might. These are absolutely terrifying things for a 33-year-old mother to hear, and there are no easy or simple solutions at this time. She and her family need all the support they can get as there will be medical bills and indefinite missed work for her and Randy.
