I dated Andy for a short time. I remember laughing with him while playing Putt Putt golf and eating peanut butter and jelly pie from pie bar. He was such a nice and caring soul who loved his family and told extremely funny stories about his independent and strong willed mother who he loved very much. We need more people like him in the world.

I am shattered. Andy was a wonderful human. I wish I had been able to have more time with him, and to have said goodbye, but I want you...his brothers & his family...to know how much he meant to me. I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Andy.

My condolences to the entire Eide family. You are right Andy's laugh is something no one forgets easily. It's been many years since I worked with him at Bellingham Housing Authority and I can still hear it. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful, caring, compassionate man with the greatest sense of humor. The world is a little duller place without him in it.

Andy was a great hockey mind but an even kinder human. Years ago, he told me about his dreams of breaking into hockey journalism. Shortly afterwards, he became one of the most respected experts, in a crowded field of hockey writers, podcasters & broadcasters. Andy will be sorely missed by so many, including me.
