Andrea’s Story

Site created on January 27, 2021

During this already challenging pandemic, we received some heart breaking news. On 1/8/21, Andrea was told that she has metastatic ovarian cancer. Andrea and her 3 kids could use our support as she will begin chemotherapy soon, followed by surgery. I created this page to help provide financial support for housing, travel, medical expenses, food, and her utilities as she will be away from work during these times of treatment and would be so grateful for your support.

Andrea is strong and we know she will put up a fight! Please keep Andrea and her kids in your prayers while they navigate this challenging time.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Nancy Dekat

Just a quick update.  Andrea had an appointment with Dr Koeneke a week ago and all is good.  Her CA-125, is within normal limits and continues to stay there.  Since this cancer marker went so high, if this cancer comes back, the CA-125 should detect it.  Now, she is having CT scans every 4 months.  This will help them pick up on cancer that may not be detected by the CA-125.  If things continue to go well, they may extend the CT scan time to every 6 months.  This cancer journey is a tough journey and is much easier trusting in God!   Thank you for your continued prayers!
