Hiring experts with disability(s) is very important as they will be able to bring light to accessibility issues or considerations that may be overlooked otherwise. As the saying goes, “nothing about us without us”, which means building accessible digital products should never occur without the voices and experiences of people with disabilities included—be it through the hiring of experts with a disability as suggested here, or at the very least, being inclusive of their voices during early-stage testing.
