Dear Friends,

Last week Mom received some life-changing news. After having a CT done for an unrelated medical concern, the results came back with an unexpected and heartbreaking diagnosis: cancer. It is quite advanced and has spread. They believe it is stage 4 ovarian cancer, but since it is in multiple locations they will be performing surgery this week to identify the exact origin. Her oncologist has shared that we need to act quickly, so procedures, surgeries, and chemo are starting immediately.

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that she must step away from teaching and will not be returning for the remainder of the school year. Her doctors have shared that she’s in the fight for her life right now and needs to be singularly focused. With great hope, we’re going to do just that – fight hard and believe fully in our God who performs miracles!
