“Want me to make your weekend?”

Amy is doing much better than day of surgery. She’s still in pain, but managing it. She’s been going a bit stir crazy so sister to the rescue. We did a modified shower and escaped the recliner with the help of a wheelchair. We headed out for some light shopping/exploring.

Before we got out of the driveway, Amy received the best Christmas present ever. Her doctor called with pathology results earlier than expected.

She asked, “Want me to make your weekend?”
“Sure.”
You are CANCER-FREE!! Your cancer had a complete response to the treatment!!

Whoop! Whoop!

We could not have received a better phone call and justification for the pain Amy has been in. We did a celebratory Target tour with the help of the wheelchair. After we got back to the house, we were unloading when Dad pulled up...oops! I got busted putting the wheelchair away. I ran inside and told Amy to “hurry and get in the recliner and act sick!! Dad’s here!”

Some things never change! Dad is always finding out what we are up to. So excited to have many more years of shenanigans after today’s news!!

Thank you all for the prayers. Thank you to God for prayers answered. I hope everyone is having as wonderful of a Thanksgiving weekend as we are!!
