Journal entry by Mindy Schroeder —
Amy underwent her mid treatment MRI last week. The MRI showed her tumor has shrunk more than anticipated. She will now begin round two of chemotherapy. The chemotherapy dose will be increased and doctors are hopeful she will tolerate this well given she has had very little difficulties this far. She will take 5 days of her chemotherapy medication and have 23 days off for 6 months. She will decide within the next couple weeks whether or not she plans to wear the optune device which must be worn 18-22 hours a day for 2 years. This device helps keep the tumor at bay.
