Journal entry by Leslie McMurchie

Amy had her first post-op follow up on Thursday and was able to get her plaster cast replaced by a boot - she thought it'd be lighter, but it's not really 😒She'll be non-weight bearing on her left leg for at least 6 more weeks. Her right ankle has a pretty big sprain so she's still confined to the couch/a wheel chair until she can bear to stand on that side. She's doing a great job keeping a positive attitude despite everything that's happened though.

On another unfortunate note, our dad came down with a bad case of Shingles on his face on Saturday. We think it was brought on by the stress he's been under. He's resting in quarantine until it gets better, but luckily our Mom is in town for Thanksgiving and is taking over day care for Amy while Brandon is at work.

We're trying to focus on all that we have to be thankful for this week especially, including everyone who has called, texted, sent packages or shown Amy love & support through this tough time. 🙏
