Amelia Rae’s Story

Site created on October 7, 2018

Brennan and Jorja are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Amelia Rae. Yet, as most of you know, many tests have confirmed that Amelia Rae has Trisomy 18, a chromosomal defect that will only allow her to live for a very short time.
There are so many unknowns so it’s been difficult to prepare, but Brennan and Jorja have appreciated every offer of support and help. We’ve set up this website for them so friends and loved ones can check one place for updates. We’ll update her delivery and how all the Blairs are doing on this website as quickly as we can. You can also leave messages for Brennan and Jorja by clicking on "Well Wishes" above. Thank you for your prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Michael and Abbey Hulett

My dearest of friends, thank you so much for the outpouring of love and support.  Brennan and I are in awe of how many came to honor our beautiful Amelia Rae on Wednesday.  If you did not receive a hand out and would like one, please let me know.  We had more printed today and I will get one to you.

We finally sent it out on Facebook.  To this point, we hadn’t really said anything there, but I was able to sum up some of our emotions…  “Brennan and I are broken.  Putting the pieces back together will take a very long time.  We know there will always be a hole; we will no longer be complete, because one of those pieces is in heaven watching over us, until we can hold her again.”

We have a few more updates coming over the next few days.  Thank you for following along with this journey and for all the prayers and support.  We are so very loved and blessed.
