My dear friend, Amelia—I am so glad you are at rest and peace at last. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel today. We will miss your beautiful smile and contagious laugh. I am so glad I got back in the circle of friends in time to renew our friendship and our memories. I will treasure those times always. Love, Haley
I learned only yesterday that she had decided to discontinue treatments and go on Hospice. I am devastated that this has happened so quickly before I could even try to connect with her. We spent so many good times together as children. Our parents were close, we went to the beach together, got impetigo together, did everything together. When the snowstorm prevented Betty and Tommy and Bill's Martinsville family to get to their wedding, she called me and asked me to usher at her wedding (December 26, 1970??) I was the only usher! We were at the airport when they went to the Philippines. This is hard to handle. We never knew each other's children the way we knew each other but always loved each other. If I can do anything for any of you, please let me know. Rusty DePass
She is at peace after a long well fought battle. I shall always remember her heart laugh and a smile for everyone. What a wonderful Angel who will join her husband in heaven.
I can see Bill saying”What took you so long Amelia?”
Sending heartfelt love to you all. Her legacy is indeed you beautiful children and grandchildren.
God rest her sweet soul.

A wonderful woman with such a generous and joyful spirit and such a beautiful soul. Our loss, especially that of her dear family, but what joy must be her reunion with Bill and so many other loved ones as well as being embraced by her Savior face to face. May God pour out special grace on all those left behind who loved her so dearly.
She & Bill can now be together in Heaven. All of us who were lucky enough to know them will miss having them in our earthly life. My sympathy to her family.
