Journal entry by Cal Preisinger —
Had a week at home. Words are fruitless at explaining how it felt with our kids and everyone in their own beds. I thank everyone for their continued prayers, they are working, please do not stop.
We returned to Rochester last night and met with the docs today. Still MRD (minimum residual disease) negative per the results from last week’s biopsy. What a welcome relief to know the chemo is still doing it’s job.
Tomorrow Amber starts what will be (god willing) the last hellish round of intense chemo. To celebrate before the storm we hit up a local Italian place and enjoyed a great dinner and snuck in a glass of champagne (it’s ok, dr’s said go for it). Only thing that would have made it better would be if Isaac and Alexa where there with us devouring Tiramisu.
Please continue to pray Amber stays on the healing path and that we can transition back to home for maintenance chemo when this round is done.
