Journal entry by Amber Griffith —
I had my third round of chemo today. I've continued to struggle with my breathing and with pain. I am beginning to lose mobility in my right arm. I have significant difficulty doing simple tasks such as brushing my teeth and putting deodorant on. I am also still waiting for a hospital bed so that I can sleep inclined. So much frustration on so many fronts right now. I understand why people throw in the towel.
Tim and I brought these concerns up to the nurse. They are now pushing the hospital bed company and hoping I have a bed by the end of the weekend. The Dr. prescribed another antibiotic and ordered an MRI of my neck and arm (where I am having pain).
The MRI was ordered stat to see if the tumors in my neck are pressing on nerves. If so, they are going to send me for some pinpoint radiation to alleviate the pain. I am hopeful again however, the amount of advocacy that has to occur is just unreal sometimes. Please keep me in your prayers for strength. Right now, my quality of life consists of sleeping in a recliner most of the time.
Thank you so much everyone for all the love and support. You all have no waivered once since this started and I am so very grateful to know how loved I am. Please tell those you love what they mean to you while they are still here !!
