Amanda’s Story

Site created on July 28, 2021

Amanda is 27 years old, married last year and was living  a completely healthy/ normal life as any 20- something year old would.  She unfortunately found a lump in her neck and was eventually diagnosed with Stage 2 Nodular Sclerosing Classical Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on July 27, 2021. It has been an extremely long and emotional journey to get to this point and reach that diagnosis. Many doctors, bloodwork, 2 lymph node biopsies, CT, ultrasounds and a PET scan and finally she got that dreaded answer we all expected.  We will use this CaringBridge website to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Amanda has been doing okay. She has been overwhelmed with the amount of kind words and support from everyone since sharing this news! So please keep them coming, they really help lift her spirits💜 Her fertility process should be complete this week and the port will be placed surgically tomorrow 08/11/2021.

Chemotherapy treatments are scheduled to begin on Tuesday 08/17/2021. It will start with a 6 hour session. Please say a prayer all goes as well as it can!
