AMANDA UPDATE WEDNESDAY 12/22/21:
Pathology reviewed shows this is a Astrocytoma with IHD characteristics. We were hopeful it was an Oligodendroglioma if it was going to be cancerous. There are 3 levels from best case to worse and this is in between. The reason is, it has more potential to grow back in 3/4 years per surgeon. She will start radiation/chemo. Radiation will be for 6 weeks/ daily. Chemo will coincide and be in the form of a pill. They like treatment to start within 4 weeks after surgery. The Neurosurgeon in Boston will contact his counterparts at the Cleveland Clinic to establish a treatment team here in Ohio. As Amanda said, "It could be worse." She gets her stitches removed tomorrow. We are so very thankful for a successful surgery. Thank you all for your loving and thoughtful prayers and for them to continue as she starts the next leg in this journey. Our strength is in the Lord 🙏🏻
