Journal entry by Angie Colsch

Again our prayers have been answered....

Allie's appointment went well with no concerns.  She will have a follow up again in six months.  Every appointment she gets through with no signs of relapse brings her closer to being cancer free (5 years from the end of chemo) versus being in remission where she is now.  Sometimes I can't believe I am using these words when I talk about her...  No one ever imagines having to talk like that about your kids.

Just a note to let you know she has just accepted a position at Mayo in their oncology department.  She starts on November 8th.  She is very happy about the change and is ready for this new challenge.  I think she will be amazing in this position and I feel it is where God wants her to be.  The circumstances leading up to the interviewing and hiring were something only God could have had a hand in.  The whole process moved at an unbelievable pace and she was offered the position within a few days of her initial interview.  We have been praying for her to find the position God had intended for her.  She said after the interview that she felt like it went fantastic and that this was it....

Prayers are such an important part of this journey.  They have carried us through some very scary times and held us together when we felt like we were falling apart.  I will definitely tell you some of my most fervent prayers as a parent are for my kids whether it be for their health, safety, happiness, the strength of their own faith to carry them through as they face trials and tribulations and so much more...

I again thank you for all the prayers and support everyone has given us and ask you to continue to pray for each other whatever the circumstances may be.  That is the easiest way to "pay it forward" as it takes nothing more than a little time.  It can be done for anyone at any moment and is something we can all do.  No fancy words needed just a simple plea, request, and also some thanks for all he has given us.  God hears it all and is waiting to hear from us....

lIsaiah 41:10

Don't fear because I am with you; don't be afraid, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, I will surely help you; I will hold you with my righteous right hand.

1 Chronicles 16:34

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Thank you all-God be with you today and always.  Try to remember to "let go and let God" whatever the circumstances may be.
Angie
