Allie’s Story

Site created on May 4, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We hope our posts will keep you informed of Allie’s daily progress. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As most of you have heard, our sweet Allie was in an ATV accident Friday evening. She has a traumatic brain injury. She went in to surgery early Saturday morning with a great staff of doctors, nurses, and a trauma team. She was out of surgery at 3:20 am on Saturday morning. Allie is now in the pediatric intensive care unit at spartanburg regional. They removed a chunk of her skull to allow room for swelling and tried to remove blood off of the brain. A drain tube has been inserted in the other side to remove spinal fluid from the brain. She is completely sedated and the next 24-48 hours will be crucial. This is day by day, hour by hour.

Love to all our wonderful friends and family. Thank you for continued prayers and support. Please know we are receiving your voicemails and text messages but please

Today marks one year since Allie’s accident. A lot can change in 30 seconds, 5 minutes, one week, 6 months and one year.  We are soulful people on the road less traveled...determined to find light in the darkness...recreating ourselves as we adapt to change.  Thank YOU for loving us every step of the way. Allie continues to improve. These recent uncertain times have certainly been a setback for her but we know she will catch back up! We look forward to another year of positive changes!!
