Journal entry by Jenifer N —
On Thursday, June 6, 2019, Ed had a malignant tumor removed from his brain. Ed was released from the hospital the following Saturday, and in true Ed form, he went straight to his nine year old nephew's baseball game. It's crazy, because if you were to run into Ed, you'd bet your bottom dollar, on two things: 1.) There is no way that this fit and healthy guy is 59 years old, and 2.) You'd never believe that he is fighting for his life. Both, however, are true. Ed is in great shape, and he is fighting for his life.
The purpose of this site is to keep you informed, and to ask for support. What Ed and his family need most right now is time. They need friends and family to donate some time to help Ed. Ed needs visits from caring people to keep his spirits up, to show him love, to encourage him, and to make sure he is taking his medications. Soon he will be starting his chemo and radiation treatments, and he will need a ride to and from.
Thank you for caring about Ed. If you are able to support his family with your gift of time, thank you. Please click on "Ways to Help" at the top of the page, and then click on "Planner." If you are unable to support them with the gift of your time, we kindly ask that you keep Ed in your daily prayer. Thank you.
