What an exciting year for ALEX...graduating from HS with high honors, his last official visit to MDA, and his upcoming 1st year St LSU! I know he has had other wonderful things happen to him and many thanks can be given to MDA for taking such good care of him. Plus he has a wonderful family looking out for him.
Congratulations and we wish you many happy years at LSU as well as in your chosen profession!

Today Team Alex celebrates fantastic, long-awaited news!
To each member of his ever-widening circle, your love, prayers, and support have brought all of us to this joy-filled day!

From researchers for their dedication to finding cures; contributors to that research;
friends and the friends of friends for their continued prayers and innumerable acts of kindnesses of all sizes, frequently offered, and long remembered; for caregivers and family members who walked this precarious journey with Alex.

May we all celebrate today by reflecting on answered prayers; by remembering this long odyssey, by hoping that the little family cluster, encountered in the waiting room just beginning their journey, saw promise in days and weeks ahead; and by following the adventures of the remarkable Alex as he continues to make his indelible mark on the world and our hearts!
