Lucas, I at first took the newspaper's headline to mean "recalled for" as in "The spiritual world was in need of someone with your father's intellect, humor, and compassion, and so he was recalled." I thought the headline was rather bold, but totally fitting given his possession of unusually large amounts of such much-needed qualities. He was/is a blessing for us all.
