Journal entry by Nicky Tiedemann

Yesterday Alecia went to see her oncologist to get the results from her scan last week. The prognosis was good. Her lymph nodes are back to normal. The stricture in the rectum is smaller. There is no fluid in the stomach or lungs but the stomach is still showing thickness which means the cancer is still there however the thickness is reduced. This means her body is in fact responding well to the chemo. She's been advised to get the covid-19 injections and was cleared to travel. She is still on a lot of pain medication for the stomach but overall this was great news. She has 3 more rounds of chemo and then the team will reassess her treatment plan at that time. We appreciate the thoughts and prayers for the family and Alecia. Keep on fighting! You got this!
