Hello my wonderful old neighbors!
Al, I just heard about your illness, and was so sorry to hear how you two have had to battle this last year. At the same time, I was encouraged by your notes, and was reminded of your wonderful dispositions. All those years of living so close were some of the best in my life, and I will always remember your happy family, and how much you all meant to ours. I still look up at your old house every time we pass and think of you! I'd love to come by and see you very soon. We are in Spokane with Alaina's family this week, and will be back next Thursday. Meredith, I will give you a call when I get back in town. In the meantime, kiss Al for us. We love you both, and will be praying. Love, Jan (and Bill) Hege

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us be glad and rejoice in it. King James version. I've been reading the Psalms but found a King James that speaks to be better than any other version. Love from the Doughtys.

Oh deers, this is hard news. I'm glad you have each other, and the help from hospice. I will come visit soon, with stories and reading material. Love from us all.

thanx for the update...not easy words to write or to read! but, the comment i have most heard when hospice is involved is that the patient and family as well as the hospice team have wished that they had begun to experience the goodness of hospice care sooner as it is a very welcome service to not only the patient and main caregivers, but also to the extended family in a whole variety of ways not previously thought of.

we are continuing to pray for comfort and ease as you journey through these days. wishing you unexpected blessings and comfort!

with much love from susan and jon
