Journal entry by Lori Kumpf

Hi Friends, I wanted to thank everyone for your kindness and thoughtfulness to me and Alan’s parents, Gerry&Vicki, as well as the rest of our family. The Lord has used so many of you to encourage and comfort us.
I have been to Asheville to see my parents, I hadn’t seen them for months and it was a welcome reunion!! (Times like these you just need to see your mom!!) I also went up to Michigan to see my sons and their families, I have a new grandson I had not met yet!! He’s as sweet as can be! The Lord provides light and hope for us even on the dark days!
Someone asked me a day or two ago about a place to make donations in Alan’s memory. I’m so glad she asked because I didn’t even think of it! So many of you know Alan’s amazing testimony and the North Carolina Rescue Ministry in Asheville NC was a big part of  his recovery story. You can find their website online and there is a button if you’d like to donate or the address if you want to send a check.
I’m back at work. Text me for appointments.  Trying to find my new normal. Also I’m happy to share Alan’s testimony, especially if you have kids or loved ones who struggle with alcohol or addiction. There is hope, Jesus changes everything!
I love you all, you don’t even know.
Lori
