Dear family, I just saw the news of Mr. Farleys death. It was great having him at Andrew Lewis when I was a student. He was always a calming voice for me when I needed one. Many benefited from his love of all of us. Thank you for sharing him. He was a good man with a big heart and a great smile.

Dear Carol and family, the world is brighter for Alan's presence in it and will be a bit dimmer without him. His marriage was a romantic fairy tale to many of us as teenagers maturing into our own loves and family life. He was an inspiring man as a teacher and as a man. I know you will be comforted by his memory and the many wonderful years together. God bless you.

Gary and I are just incredibly sad to hear the news about Alan. We share so many wonderful memories of him as our superintendent, friend, and fellow musician. It's hard to remember when Carol and Alan were not a part of our family activities. Carol, our thoughts are with you and your family tonight, and we look forward to the time when we can celebrate Alan's wonderful life together.

Hello from Deanna & Ed. You have all created a wonderful world that Alan has loved. But, all day I've had a feeling that he might sign off today. He has contributed so much to so many friends and students over a long and lovely life. Anyone who knew him knew that he loved teaching and leading, he loved music and he loved beaches and fishing. Most of all he loved you who are his family. Thanks for all the ways you've kept us in touch.

I'm sad about Dr. Farley's passing and, at the same time, happy he is at peace. He was a wonderful man and I have many good memories of him mostly from my time working with him in Mr. B's office. God bless you all and thank you for sharing him with us.

I am so very sorry to hear this news, but glad he is finally at peace. Heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, and all the students he inspired for so many years (such as myself). Go rest high on that mountain, kind sir. Your work on earth is done.
